Today we’re introducing Prescient, QXT’s first product and the first piece of infrastructure we’re putting into the hands of the teams building Grid 2.0.
Prescient delivers operational grid awareness — on demand, not on a quarterly report cycle. It’s built for the new market entrants and forward-looking incumbents who need to understand what’s actually happening on the system right now, not what it looked like the last time someone ran a study.
What it does
Prescient takes the complexity of the bulk electric grid — topology, loading, congestion, price signals — and turns it into something a decision-maker can read at a glance, without needing a PhD in power systems to interpret it. It’s not a dashboard bolted onto someone else’s data. It’s built on modeling infrastructure designed from the ground up to be fast, transparent, and honest about its assumptions.
Why now
The teams we talk to every day are moving quickly — interconnecting new resources, evaluating new markets, making capital decisions under real time pressure. They don’t have the patience for tools that were built for a slower industry, and they shouldn’t have to. Prescient exists because grid awareness shouldn’t be a luxury reserved for organizations large enough to build their own internal tooling from scratch.
What’s next
Prescient is the first product built on the platform we’re developing — modeling infrastructure that will eventually support far more than operational awareness. We’re building it in the open with the operators, planners, and engineers who will actually use it, because the best test of “understandable” is whether the people making decisions can trust what they’re looking at.
This is early. We’ll be sharing more about how Prescient works, who it’s for, and what we’re learning as more of the grid comes online in the months ahead.
