QXT was founded in 2026 by simulation engineers, power-systems researchers, and cloud builders who had spent a decade watching the energy system change faster than the models meant to study it. We're building the simulation engine that catches up with the speed of the grid
What we believe
Fourconvictionsthatshapeeverylineofcode.
01
Throughput is the new megawatt.
The next decade of the grid will be defined as much by simulation throughput as by physical capacity. Whoever can run thousands of credible scenarios a day will set the pace.
02
Models must be trusted to act on.
A scenario you can't defend is a scenario you can't ship. We build for auditability, reproducibility, and the boring discipline of getting the same answer twice.
03
Cloud-native, not cloud-hosted.
Legacy engines moved to a VM are still legacy engines. We design for elastic compute, parallel sweeps, and the cost discipline of paying only for the cycles that matter.
04
Operators beat spectators.
We ship what we run, and we operate what we ship. The team writing the solver is the team on call when a market study lands at 6am on a Monday.
Sienna is the open-source simulation stack we designed and shipped at NREL the largest simulations in the world. It powers utilities, operators, national labs and researchers worldwide. QXT is what comes next: the same team, a cloud-native engine, built for the pace of the grid.

# A small team, a very large search space.
QXT was founded in 2026 by simulation engineers, power-systems researchers and cloud builders who had spent a decade watching the energy system change faster than the models meant to study it. We're building the simulation engine that catches up with the speed of the grid.
## What we believe
The next decade of the grid will be defined as much by simulation throughput as by megawatts. The organizations that win will be the ones who can run thousands of credible scenarios a day — and trust the answers enough to act on them.
## How we work
Effective teams. Fast loops. High-quality engineering. We operate efficiently and effectively, build the capabilities we need and deliver value. Learn fast, release quickly and improve continuously. No compromises on quality and rigor for the models we serve in our platform. We measure ourselves against one metric: the quality and speed of the decisions our simulations enable.
